Facial Care: enhancing your skin every day

The Soleil d'Or facial care selection

Facial care is the most important beauty investment: our face is our everyday calling card. At Soleil d'Or, we select the finest premium cosmetics houses covering every concern: global anti-ageing, radiance, hydration, sensitivity, firmness and pigmentation spots. Our approach is eclectic: we believe in a diversity of solutions according to skin type, age and expectations.

Our Facial Care selection

Our catalogue brings together a rich selection in the Facial Care category, including these much-loved references: La Crème Soyeuse Régénération Intense, CLEANSING MILK, TOTAL LIP TREATMENT, CREAMY SOAP and TOTAL LIP TREATMENT STICK, all signatures representative of the selection.

Choosing your routine according to your skin type

For mature and demanding skin, Valmont offers Swiss cellular therapy. La Mer builds on its legendary Miracle Broth. Sensai champions Koishimaru silk extract. For sensitive skin or those seeking natural formulas, Olivier Claire formulates plant-based skincare. Bioeffect offers Icelandic biotechnology. For skin with targeted anti-ageing concerns, Matis Paris, Natura Bissé and Nescens meet every need.

The steps of a complete facial routine

A complete facial routine comprises several steps: make-up removal and cleansing, weekly exfoliation, serum, day cream and eye cream. In the evening, the day cream is replaced by a (regenerating) night treatment. To explore other routines, why not also discover our body care, our hand care and our make-up.

How to choose at Soleil d'Or

Our boutique at 22 rue de la Clef in Lille (France) welcomes you to try the references in our catalogue with our team, trained by the greatest houses. Unable to visit in person? Contact us via the chatbot on our website and we will guide you towards the most suitable selection. For fragrances, our discovery box lets you try them at home before treating yourself to a full bottle.

Frequently asked questions about Face Care

What are the essential steps of a facial routine?

A good routine rests on 5 steps: cleansing morning and evening, a treatment serum targeted to your needs (anti-ageing, radiance, firmness, hydration), a day or night cream, a weekly mask for an occasional boost, and a dedicated eye contour product, as the skin there is thinner. For sensitive skin, soothing formulations such as La Mer or Sensaï are preferable.

How do I choose a facial skincare product for my skin type?

For dry or mature skin, La Mer and Sensaï offer the most nourishing textures. For combination or young skin, Bioeffect and Matis offer lighter formulas. For sensitive skin, Valmont and La Mer lead the way. For concentrated anti-ageing care, Bioeffect, Valmont or Nescens remain the benchmark choices.

How can I try a facial skincare product before buying it?

The best way to discover a facial skincare product before buying is to visit our Lille boutique and meet Apolline and Victorine. They can analyse your skin type, your needs and your sensory preferences, show you the textures and guide you towards the products that suit you. You can also opt for free Click & Collect: order online, collect in store. For online orders, feel free to contact us beforehand by phone or via the form — we take the time to advise you according to your profile. Please note: for hygiene reasons, opened skincare products cannot be returned.

What are the delivery times?

We ship within 24 working hours from Lille via Colissimo or Colissimo Point Relais (France and Europe). Orders to Asia are shipped via Colissimo Asie. For Canada, the USA and other destinations, delivery is via FedEx. Delivery is free from €60 in mainland France. You can also collect your order directly from our Lille boutique — free of charge.

How can Soleil d'Or advise me on facial skincare?

Four generations of expertise since 1953: Apolline and Victorine Maes guide you personally in your choice. For facial skincare, advice is ideally given in our Lille boutique — we take the time to analyse your skin type before recommending a product. You can also reach us by phone or via the online contact form.
