Scented candles are one of the oldest forms of home fragrance, handed down from the 19th-century chandlers who blended wax, natural wicks and noble essences. Today, fine perfumery has embraced this category, creating candles worthy of their namesake fragrances: natural waxes (soy wax, beeswax), unbleached cotton wicks and a fragrance load of over 10 %. A niche candle burns for between 40 and 80 hours, turning a home into an olfactory cocoon.

How to choose and burn your candle

The first time you light it, let the wax melt evenly right to the edges (1 to 2 hours) to avoid tunnelling and maximise burn time. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
