How to choose your fragrance

Choosing a fragrance happens in two stages: first discovering it on your arm, then wearing it on your skin for several hours. Our discovery box lets you try several creations at home, with no commitment. For a guided experience, our boutique at 22 rue de la Clef in Lille (France) welcomes you, with a team trained in the signature style of each house.

Frequently asked questions about The Soleil d'Or Universe

How can I explore the world of Soleil d'Or?

The world of Soleil d'Or brings together more than 1,700 products across niche fragrances (900+ creations from 55 houses), high-performance skincare, premium make-up, candles and home fragrances. Browse by category according to your needs, or let yourself be guided by our bestsellers for an overview.

What sets Soleil d'Or apart from the big perfumery chains?

Four generations of expertise in Lille since 1953 — not a marketing slogan, but a genuine family story. Our catalogue is hand-picked by Apolline and Victorine Maes: no product is ever imposed on us. We favour independent niche houses over industrial luxury brands, and we take the time to advise every customer. It has been our signature for 70 years.

Does Soleil d'Or offer samples across the whole catalogue?

Yes, we offer up to 3 free samples with every order. For enthusiasts who want to explore further, our sample discovery box lets you try several creations before committing to a full size. It is one of the best ways to approach niche perfumery without risking a misstep.

What are the delivery times?

We ship within 24 working hours from Lille via Colissimo or Colissimo Point Relais (France and Europe). Orders to Asia are shipped via Colissimo Asie. For Canada, the USA and other destinations, delivery is via FedEx. Delivery is free from €60 in mainland France. You can also collect your order directly from our Lille boutique — free of charge.

How can Soleil d'Or advise me across the whole catalogue?

Four generations of expertise since 1953: Apolline and Victorine Maes guide you personally in your choice. In our Lille boutique, by phone or via the online contact form — we take the time to identify your real needs before recommending a product. Our discovery box is also an excellent starting point for exploring our niche world.
