The story

Spring Perfumes: softness and olfactory renewal

Spring, the season of light regained

Spring calls for trails that are light, luminous and awakening — delicate florals, invigorating citrus, bucolic greens, fresh aquatics. The skin, paler and less laden than in winter, enhances these delicate compositions that accompany nature's awakening. Our spring selection brings together the fragrances that celebrate this season of transition between cold and warmth.

Our Spring Perfumes selection

Our Spring Perfumes selection includes: Discovery box, Bois Impérial, Hibiscus Mahajád Extrait, Oud Maracujá Extrait and Tubéreuse Astrale Extrait, all of which feature in this selection.

The ideal olfactory families for spring

Several families shine particularly brightly in this season. Floral scents (rose, jasmine, orange blossom) capture nature's awakening. Citrus scents (lemon, bergamot, neroli) bring invigorating freshness. Green scents (honeysuckle, fig, cut grass) evoke gardens. Musky and Powdery scents extend spring's delicacy on paler skin.

Adapting your trail to the season

In spring, we lighten our trail to suit the season. Aquatic and Aromatic scents take over from the more opulent trails of winter. To explore the other seasons, discover our selections for Summer, Autumn, Winter and All Seasons.

How do you choose your perfume?

Choosing a perfume happens in two stages: discovering it on the arm, then wearing it on the skin for several hours. Our discovery box lets you try several creations at home, with no obligation. For a guided experience, our boutique at 22 rue de la Clef in Lille (France) welcomes you with our team, trained in the style of each house.

Le Soleil d'Or, a Lille perfumery since 1953

At Soleil d'Or, an independent Lille perfumery founded in 1953, Apolline and Victorine Maes (the fourth generation of the family) and their team have spent three quarters of a century selecting the finest signatures in international fine perfumery. Expert advice, samples included and tailored guidance.

Frequently asked questions about Spring Perfumes

Which olfactory families should you favour in spring?

Three territories dominate. Floral fragrances, with their notes of lily of the valley, peony, lilac and tuberose, are the quintessential spring scents. Citrus fragrances, sparkling and sunny (bergamot, neroli, orange blossom), accompany the lengthening days. Green fragrances — galbanum, cut grass — capture the scent of gardens awakening.

Which houses for a spring perfume?

Goutal offers luminous, delicate French florals. Houbigant brings its floral tradition to life with refined compositions. Jovoy contributes a modern Parisian vision. Essential Parfums creates very accessible modern citrus scents. Carrière Frères completes the line-up with its minimalist soliflores.

Does Soleil d'Or offer samples for spring perfumes?

Yes, we offer up to 3 free samples with every order. For enthusiasts who want to explore more widely, our sample discovery box lets you try several creations before committing to a full-size bottle. It is one of the best ways to approach niche perfumery without risking a misstep.

What are the delivery times?

We ship within 24 working hours from Lille via Colissimo or Colissimo Point Relais (France and Europe). Orders to Asia are shipped via Colissimo Asie. For Canada, the USA and other destinations, delivery is by FedEx. Delivery is free from €60 in mainland France. You can also collect your order directly from our boutique in Lille, free of charge.

How can Soleil d'Or advise me on spring perfumes?

Four generations of expertise since 1953: Apolline and Victorine Maes personally guide you in your choice. Whether in our boutique in Lille, by phone or via the online contact form, we take the time to identify your real needs before recommending a product. Our discovery box is also an excellent starting point for exploring our niche world.
