The Serpent collection brings together God of Fire, Lady White Snake, Venom Incarnat, Pink Boa, Mortal Skin, Sand Dance, Crying of Evil and Sea My Love — eight compositions with pictorial and mythological names that embrace a strong symbolic approach (Lady White Snake = a Chinese legend, Venom Incarnat = poison transformed, Pink Boa = a pink serpent).

A pictorial auteur approach

Serpent cultivates a resolutely pictorial approach — as Stéphane Humbert Lucas is himself a painter, each creation is built like a painting — a scene, a character, a dominant material.
