The Lifting and Volumizing Care Balm addresses what the lips lose with age: volume, the definition of the contour, and that crispness of the border which stops lipstick from bleeding into fine lines.

Sodium hyaluronate, in free and hydrolysed forms, plumps; Swertia chirata extract supports firmness; cocoa butter and shea butter nourish; a complex of ceramides AP, NP and EOP combined with cholesterol and phytosphingosine rebuilds the barrier of this area, which has no sebaceous glands.

Hydration is intense and maintains suppleness: vertical lines fade, the expression relaxes, the smile looks rejuvenated. The bevelled tip of the applicator allows a precise line along the contour.

How to apply

Morning and evening, on the lips and their contour. Reapply during the day if needed. The bevelled tip of the applicator is designed for precise application.

Expert advice: use the bevel to draw the contour before filling in the lip — it is there, along the border, that the anti-migration effect is won. The formula contains retinyl palmitate: if applied during the day, pair it with sun protection. It slips just as easily under a lipstick as it wears on its own. Keep the case away from direct light and temperature variations.

The house

Nescens was born in Switzerland out of Professor Jacques Proust's research into the biology of ageing, the skincare extension of the centre for the prevention of ageing he founded in Genolier. The house brings to skincare the rigour of preventive medicine: actives chosen for their documented mechanism of action, concentrations that do the work, and efficacy measured in clinical testing under dermatological supervision.
