You brush against it, you risk it, never thinking of the consequences… Incident Diplomatique clearly carries a share of superb provocation, affirmed and assumed — inevitable when desire is heightened to skin level. As unexpected as it is daring, it deliberately breaks with convention, and claims its urges the way one gives in to an impulse too overwhelming to resist.

Luminous mandarin opens onto an outsized vetiver — Haiti and Java combined — lifted by nutmeg, before a smoky, earthy base of patchouli, Australian sandalwood and oakmoss. House legend has it that she stole his fragrance — and that the confusion ended in a diplomatic incident.

Signed by Vanina Muracciole after two years of work, this robust, intense and unprecedented woody — a masterpiece according to the house — can be worn in any season, when tension reaches breaking point. Made in France.
