Founded in 1955 by Jean-Charles Brosseau, a graduate of the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, the eponymous house began on the Left Bank of Paris. In 1970, it moved to Place des Victoires, helping to make the place a fashion hub. In 1981, the house launched “Ombre Rose,” its first fragrance, which quickly achieved international success and is now considered a classic of haute parfumerie.
