In the year 79, Pompeii disappeared beneath the ashes of Vesuvius. Centuries later, excavations revealed the traces of an exceptionally preserved perfume. With Rosa Antiqua, ānti imagines the rebirth of this lost fragrance by offering a contemporary interpretation signed by Sidonie Lancesseur.

The composition opens with a dark and vibrant blackcurrant, whose fruity accents recall red wine spilled on the marble of Roman villas. At the heart, Damascus rose absolute unfurls all its floral richness, enhanced by the soft and enveloping nuances of cashmeran.

The originality of Rosa Antiqua lies in its olive oil accord, a rarity in perfumery. Its fruity, slightly green, and subtly bitter facet brings depth and character to the rose. Birch essence extends this duality with a delicately woody and smoky trail, like the final memories of the volcano that still watches over the ruins of Pompeii.

At once floral, woody, and slightly ashen, this creation reinvents the rose in an unexpected light: wilder, more textured, almost mineral. A perfume that tells the story of a vanished civilization and of a beauty preserved throughout time.
