La Liturgie des Heures

It is a venerable Romanesque chapel in southern Italy, or a monastery lost in the fragrant hills of Greece… Here time has no importance; only eternity counts. On cool stone slabs worn smooth by the centuries, the burning caress of the Mediterranean summer exalts an infinite, almost sacred love. A scent of mysticism and mystery hangs in the air: incense, olibanum and myrrh, immemorial scents for an impetuous, all-or-nothing passion.

Cypress and green notes open the fumigation; the heart of incense, olibanum, cistus and myrrh is moistened by a secret patchouli — that of venerable places where nothing seems to have changed for hundreds of years — before a base of musks.

Born from a childhood memory of François Hénin — his grandfather befriended a monk during their captivity in the Second World War, and the family has visited his abbey ever since — this incense created by Jacques Flori is the perfect fumigation, to wear in autumn and winter. Made in France.
