LA FONCEDALLE by Versatile, 15 ml travel-size extrait de parfum

LA FONCEDALLE

La Foncedalle is Versatile's wildest bet: Amélie Bourgeois and Margaux Le Paih Guérin (studio FLAIR) co-created an ultra-faceted neo-fougère, built around a triptych never before attempted in perfumery: weed, beer and roast chicken — vegan, of course.

Italian cannabis and a hoppy beer accord open onto sparkling lime, bergamot, bay leaf and thyme, while the roasted, salty, buttery facet whets the appetite. The aromatic heart unfolds clary sage, cardamom, fresh ginger, toasted hazelnut and powdery violet. The base plunges into the depths: Thai oud, Indonesian patchouli, smoky guaiac wood, sandalwood, vanilla-tinged benzoin, cade, vetiver, suede and musks.

An alcohol-free roll-on, concentrated at 35% — the house's highest concentration — on a base of sweet almond and wheat germ vegetable oils. Salty, fresh and warm all at once: deliciously addictive.

Main notes: cannabis, beer accord, roast chicken accord, clary sage, oud, patchouli.

Concentration: Extrait de parfum 35% – 15 ml roll-on, alcohol-free.

A French perfumer, Amélie Bourgeois co-founded the Flair creative studio with Anne-Sophie Behaghel. She is behind contrasting compositions such as Rouge Smoking and French Bouquet for BDK Parfums, as well as several signatures for Jovoy and Mendittorosa, brought together at Soleil d'Or.

Margaux Le Paih Guérin is a French perfumer with a gourmand, woody style, a close partner of the house Versatile. She is behind La Foncedalle, Cerise sur le Gâteau and Croissant Café, as well as Lü Bu for Sora Dora. Her creations for Versatile and Sora Dora are at Soleil d'Or.

VERSATILE

Founded in January 2021 by Coralie Frébourg, a graduate of the École Supérieure du Parfum, Versatile Paris has set out to shake up the codes of traditional perfumery: fewer clichés, more transparency. Its fragrances are imagined with the independent creative studio FLAIR and come in two forms — the alcohol-free roll-on extract, based on sweet almond and wheat vegetable oils, and the spray extract, based on organic wheat alcohol. Short, transparent formulas, always vegan, gender-neutral, and made in France.
