Tubéreuse Absolue

Tubéreuse Absolue revives an ancient fascination. Omixochitl, the “bone flower” with its skeletal whiteness that only opens at sunset, was already considered fatal in Aztec Mexico. Arriving in Europe in the 16th century, tuberose has never ceased to bewitch the senses.

The essence of flowers picked in bud can be bound into a clean, creamy accord, but its true calling is dark, voluptuous and carnal. And that is just how, faithfully, Mathieu Nardin interpreted it for the Black Collection: an almost obsessive work on the raw material, which sets the senses ablaze to the point of vertigo.

Nicknamed “la belle dame sans merci”, tuberose is surrounded here by jasmine sambac and gardenia, carried by bergamot, cardamom, lavender and galbanum, then anchored by orange blossom, vetiver, cedar and musk. A persistent, heady trail that leaves no one indifferent.
