Écrin de fumée

Écrin de fumée is one of the most recent creations in the Collection noire: an unabashed tribute to excess, to those who celebrate life down to the last spark. Beneath its veil of smoke hide tobacco, rum and dark cacao.

The opening, woody and boozy, evokes a dying campfire; the heart unfurls a blond tobacco, sweet and sensual; the base, darker, blends powdery cacao and woody notes. A shadowy gourmand, between embers and chocolate.

Composed under the direction of Serge Lutens, Écrin de fumée is a fragrance for winter and evenings, at once opulent and intimate — for those who like their trail to tell a story.

The house

SERGE LUTENS

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.
