Encens Sacré by Perris Monte Carlo, 50 ml eau de parfum

Encens Sacré

Encens Sacré reaches back to the first civilisations, when frankincense burned as a sacred offering, carrying dreams and prayers towards the divine. The house retraced its paths and retained the most singular quality: that of Somalia, drawn from the resin of Boswellia carterii.

From November to February, the bark of the trees is incised to let the resin flow, hardening into a gum ready for distillation. From this work come two essences: one soft, mineral and balsamic; the other, distilled at high temperature, restoring the true impression of burnt incense, in homage to the ancient art of fumigation.

For the Black Collection, this sublime balance rests on a floral heart of Moroccan rose and jasmine, and a warm base of amber, patchouli and sandalwood. A complex, intimate, meditative fragrance.
