Vanille de Tahiti

Vanille de Tahiti walks in Gauguin's footsteps: fleeing France for his Polynesian paradise, the painter surely encountered, beyond the blazing colours, this orchid with long, dark, oily, delicately scented pods.

Native to Central America and prized by the Aztecs for its aphrodisiac powers, vanilla belongs to the orchid family. Vanilla tahitensis is its most precious variety — and its most singular: the fruit ripens directly on the plant, without human processing, spontaneously developing its warm, sweet notes. Supercritical CO2 extraction preserves every aromatic facet.

For the Black Collection, this vanilla of great purity is brightened by ylang-ylang and champaca absolutes, then anchored in the warm, woody touches of musk, amber and sandalwood. A creamy, intoxicating trail that carries you to islands where the sweetness of life takes on its full meaning.
